Let’s see who can bring the most new or existing e-Citizens into our Discord and Discourse communities. Share your total join count and where your invites came from (friends, group chats, online communities, etc.).

	WHAT COUNTS AS A VALID SUBMISSION
Rules	Invited members must be real individuals (no bots, fake accounts, or purchased accounts). Duplicate or previously counted members do not qualify. Invited members must already hold a valid Sealand e-Citizenship or Noble Title, or must apply for one before the end of March to be counted. Only e-Citizens and Noble Title Holders can participate in Sealand’s Discord and Discourse communities.
Deadline to submit:	30 March 2026, 23:59 UTC (Sealand time / GMT).
Valid formats:	Text, table, or image. Verification details will be requested privately if needed.
Who can participate:	Active e-Citizens and Noble Title Holders, in good standing, aged 18 or over, with a verified Discourse account.

HOW TO SUBMIT

There are two options to participate:

• Reply to this post with your entry. Name your entry. You can request a unique referral tracking link from the Sealand team via Discord direct message and share it with people you invite — accepted joins will be tracked automatically.
• Include your Discord username and your total invited count through Discord and/or Discourse. Also include the username of each invited person, whether they were invited to Discord, Discourse, or both, and whether they are e-Citizens, Noble Title Holders, or both.

Tell us what makes your invited group stand out. Verification details may be requested separately if needed. Do not share personal information.

How entries are judged: The e-Citizen community shortlists entries on Discourse. Sealand’s judging panel then selects the winner based on three equal criteria: Fulfilment of the Brief (33.33%), Execution and Clarity (33.33%), and Originality and Value to Sealand (33.33%). Shortlisting is advisory. The panel’s decision is final, subject to the appeals process in T&C section 15.4.

I decided to become an e-Citizen because I’m fascinated by the history of the Principality and I want to support this unique project of digital sovereignty. Glad to be part of the community

My journey to Sealand began after Brexit, when I realised something liberating: with settled status, I could live in the UK without ever needing British citizenship. That freedom allowed me to choose my national identity consciously, not inherit it by default.

I had already changed my name legally, and that raised a deeper question: If nationality is no longer imposed on me, who do I choose to be?

I chose to be a Sealander.

I purchased a noble title, obtained a national ID card bearing my chosen name, and aligned myself with a nation whose values matched my own — freedom, dignity, and self‑determination. When Sealand citizenship became available, I applied immediately. Although I still hold an Italian passport and use it only when required for travel, I have effectively rejected Italian citizenship in practice. My passport is a legal formality; my Sealand ID is my national identity.

My loyalty was tested at the UK border. I presented my Sealand ID as a supporting document alongside my Italian passport and legally binding Deed Poll. I was allowed entry — my settled status was valid — but I was mocked, insulted, and called degrading names for identifying as a Sealander and a Baron, despite my title being formally recognised in the UK.

I escalated the incident. The resulting apology was clear and significant:

- Sealand ID is a legitimate supporting document for consistency of title when used with a legal Deed Poll.

- The disrespect shown to Sealand as a nation was inappropriate and contrary to British values.

That moment confirmed what I already believed: Sealand is not a novelty. It is a nation built on principle, and its citizens deserve respect.

For many people, Sealand is a hobby — a curiosity, a piece of internet mythology. But for me, Sealand is my country. It is the nation I have consciously chosen to serve. I live as a Sealander in every practical sense, and I carry that identity with pride. When I travel to San Marino, I always use my Sealand ID — not because I must, but because it represents who I am.

My commitment to Sealand extends beyond personal identity. I founded the first active international Sealand Facebook community, which grew rapidly before being taken from me through trolling and personality clashes. Instead of retreating, I continued building. Under my pastoral banner, I created a small college initiative offering ESOL and Sealand history — a place where newcomers can learn, belong, and understand the meaning of “E Mare Libertas.”

My identity as a Sealander is not symbolic. It is lived. It is chosen. And it is grounded in the belief that sovereignty begins with the courage to define yourself, even when others try to silence or belittle you.
