Who can participate:	Active e-Citizens and Noble Title Holders, in good standing, aged 18 or over, with a verified Discourse account.

How entries are judged: The e-Citizen community shortlists entries on Discourse. Sealand’s judging panel then selects the winner based on three equal criteria: Fulfilment of the Brief (33.33%), Execution and Clarity (33.33%), and Originality and Value to Sealand (33.33%). Shortlisting is advisory. The panel’s decision is final, subject to the appeals process in T&C section 15.4.

I think the perfect rival for the Sealand National Team would be Greenland. Both represent the spirit of northern resilience and the beauty of playing in challenging environments. A ‘North Sea Derby’ between Sealand and Greenland would be legendary and would definitely capture the fans’ imagination!

The natural rival for our National team has and always will be the Great Britain Lions.

Ever since we started, there’s been a little bit of an issue with the British American Football Association, in which most of our players play, a solid 90% of them.

Then, ever since we started becoming a recognised club, the players in GB have looked down on the Seahawks like we’re an annoying little brother.

This is until recently, when one of our own, Kevin Keohane, an offensive lineman for the Seahawks Masters applied for and got the job of Head Coach of the GB Lions and in the last week has messaged me to say,

“If you get the Sealand American Football Association into IFAF (the International Federation of American Football), fancy a friendly?”

So that match might be coming sooner rather than later… While it might not be so friendly on the pitch, it’s hard to fall out with one of my best friends in Kev, so it’d be a brutal, but fun match with the loser buying the drinks in the bar afterward…

Another natural rival could be the Netherlands. They are built on sea and even under the sea for some parts, based on freedom, independence and open-minded principles, right across us, same sea…

Or the Faroe Islands, another logical choice. Micronation on the sea, steep and rocky, awful weather…

Both perfect rivals during a game and great beer partners after it (oh by the way, we need a Sealand beer!)

American Football Lead

This is an initial suggestion. The Northern Lights are an American Football Team located in Oulu, Finland. They have both men’s and women’s teams. The website link https://www.northernlights.fi/ has contact information listed for both the men’s and women’s teams.

Air Guitar World Championships
The AGWC takes place every year in Oulu, Finland. 2026 will mark the 30th year it is held in Oulu and last years media reach was estimated to be 1.4billion views worldwide. In 2022 I, Stonehenge, represented Sealand and made the world finals through their Dark Horse qualifying rounds and in 2023 I was the official representative of Sealand in the world finals, finished 18th. Currently Sealand is no longer an official partner country of the AGWC because there was not an official competition in country and I cannot be both the host and champion. This year I will be attending the world championships again and attemtping to qualify for the finals through the dark horse again. I know there is a special opening performance at this years world championships because Oulu is also the host of the 2026 European Capital of Culture. I am sure if a flag was to be provided to the AGWC it would be included in the live performance finals. More about the AGWC can be found at www.airguitarworldchampionships.com
Every year during the finals they also have official watch parties from around the world that they will go live to as well and there could be an official watch party happening on Sealand. There is no costs to be an official watch party either. Contacts for the AGWC

Clapton CFC is a fan-owned, community-driven club known for its strong identity, activism, and openness to alternative football cultures. They’ve built an international following and frequently engage in unique collaborations that go beyond traditional football structures.

This club would be a strong opponent or collaborator for a Sealand revival match. Their ethos aligns well with the spirit of micronations—independent, unconventional, and community-first. A friendly match or event between Principality of Sealand and Clapton CFC could generate real attention, especially in alternative football circles, and help reintroduce Sealand’s national team to a modern audience.
